Chapter Twenty-Five

Exhausted and furious with himself, Dominic works out at the gym to avoid confronting Rosie after she walked away the day before. Stephen and Travis interrupt, insisting he come to the job site, and drive him—against his protests—toward the waterfront house he and Rosie had sold.

At the house, Dominic is handed his Marines dress uniform and ushered into a room transformed with lights and flowers, surrounded by friends, the Just Us League, and their therapist. Rosie appears in her original wedding dress, smiling, and takes his hands to speak love and commitment despite his recent omission.

Rosie reveals that Stephen’s company, Brick and Morty, had purchased the house. To protect the restaurant capital, she has agreed to sell their other house to Stephen instead, letting him flip that one. This solution keeps their dream restaurant on track while reclaiming the home where they want to grow old.

Moved, Dominic reaffirms his love. With a pastor officiating and Dominic’s father walking Rosie down the aisle, they marry again amid applause. That night, they camp on the living room floor in sleeping bags, making plans for their future in the reclaimed home.
