Overview
Amara brings a glamoured Ezra to the apothecary, where Glenda warmly approves and grants permission for him to court Amara. The pair maintain a cover story about Amara’s capital trips. Later, at a reunited royal family dinner, Ezra’s parents thank Amara, Julian vows to hunt Elara, and Ezra formally asks to court Amara—she accepts.
Summary
Amara returns to the apothecary where Glenda greets her with relief and excitement. Ezra, glamoured to appear human, meets Glenda, who quickly takes to him. Ezra formally asks Glenda for permission to court Amara, and Glenda approves, teasing Amara about bringing home such a handsome suitor.
Over tea, Amara and Ezra share a prepared story: they met during Amara’s trade travel to the capital, and Ezra escorted her. They agree to maintain this cover so Glenda won’t learn yet of Ezra’s fae identity or where Amara truly went. Ezra will fund the ruse with gold to support the apothecary while Amara promises only brief absences.
Scene shifts to a royal family dinner celebrating the lifting of the curse. King Julian and Queen Lilianna thank Amara for saving Orilon and Ezra. Olivia lightens the mood, while Ezra insists the realm isn’t safe until Elara is found. Julian declares he will lead the hunt for Elara and assigns Ezra to remain in Orilon to rule and restore the kingdom.
Turning to their relationship, Ezra admits their rocky beginning and publicly asks Amara, this time directly, to allow him to court her. Amara agrees without hesitation. The family toasts to their future, cementing both the renewed stability of the court and the formal start of Ezra and Amara’s courtship.
