After Alaric admits his desire and kisses Talasyn on the storm-lashed beach, the rain intensifies and forces them to run for shelter beneath the damaged airship. As Alaric and Talasyn continue, Talasyn is aware that giving in to him may deepen her conflict with Sardovia, Nenavar, and everything Alaric represents.
