Over drinks, Blueshell explains how archives and Transcendent recipes can ensnare naive civilizations, elaborating on the mechanics of perversion. Ravna connects this to Straumli Realm’s fall. The Skroderiders then reveal vital news: some Straum researchers planned two escape ships, one carrying final elements of the perversion’s design not yet incorporated, aiming for a Bottom rendezvous and, failing that, an ultrawave signal to Relay.
