Summary
A year after the Indigo Ridge case, Winslow Covington works traffic duty while on maternity leave and calls Griffin Eden, now her husband, as he takes their two-month-old son, Hudson, for a truck ride around the ranch. They discuss checking on Briggs Eden, who recently moved into the barn loft to be closer to family after troubling memory lapses.
Winn reflects on their small Christmas wedding at The Eloise Inn, the hotel’s renovations, and her rapid pregnancies following the trauma at Indigo Ridge. While patrolling, she stops to help a distraught driver: Memphis Ward, newly hired by Eloise and lost while searching for Juniper Hill, where she and her infant, Drake, will stay in Knox’s garage apartment.
After guiding Memphis, Winn returns home. Family cycles through for dinner, with Pops visiting often since retirement. Conversation touches on Knox’s reluctance to host a tenant despite Eloise’s persistence in solving staffing and housing needs.
That night, surrounded by family, Winn and Griffin announce another pregnancy. Eight months later, their daughter, Emma Eden, is born, further cementing their growing family and the Eden clan’s close-knit support.
