Isla returns to the Wildling newland castle filthy and shaken. Poppy and Terra tend her wounds and reveal hard truths: Wren never returned and is presumed dead, and Isla’s first cry destroyed the castle, killing her parents while Lynx shielded her. Fearing her overwhelming power, the Wildlings secretly dosed her with a metal that suppressed abilities and convinced her she was powerless, training her in hopes she could control it later.

Steeling herself, Isla dons her Wildling gear and prepares for what comes next. She instructs Terra and Poppy to be ready, warning that Grim—or she—will come for them if needed. Terra affirms Isla’s training and urges her to kill Lark.

On Sky Isle, Isla finds Remlar’s body, grieves his murder, and retrieves his cursed Shademade blade, recalling his faith in her. She portals his body to The Hive, where his people mourn, covering him in feathers. Isla promises to fulfill their secret plan and everything Remlar taught her.

Isla summons Wraith with the black diamond and reunites with Grim. Seeing Isla’s injuries, Grim rages over Lark’s torture of Isla beneath the ground. Isla confirms Lark’s threat to kill them all. Grim reports Astria saw Lark go underground, likely weakened by the Skyling blade but still dangerous.

Determined to end it, Isla orders Grim to gather Oro, Enya, Calder, and Zed while she goes to Azul. She informs Azul that the storm to end all storms will happen tomorrow—because she will make it—signaling her intent to force a final confrontation with Lark and the gods.
