Tipsy and emboldened, Eloise flirts with him at the Bellagio fountains, telling him a childhood story about turning an ugly horse drawing into something beautiful. A stranger jokes that they should get married, and Jasper’s daring reply leads them to the Clover Chapel. They wake the next morning secretly married after a night of passion, both alarmed by what they have done.

Back in Quincy, Eloise panics because her parents, Anne and Harrison Eden, are preparing to transfer ownership of The Eloise Inn to her if she continues proving herself responsible. Jasper commits to staying in Quincy, turns down a Las Vegas job unless the fighter relocates to Montana, and decides to wear the wedding ring Eloise gave him. Eloise tells him she loves him, and although he struggles to say it back at first, he continues showing his commitment. Then Blaze enters The Eloise with a gun aimed at Eloise. Deputy Winslow Eden commands him to drop it, but Jasper tackles Eloise behind the counter and is shot through the shoulder while shielding her. In the chaos, Eloise sees his wedding ring on his hand. As she applies pressure to his wound, Jasper tells her he loves her, and she says it back.

Jasper survives, and the investigation reveals Blaze had killed Lydia, posted violent material, and surveilled Jasper and Eloise before the attack. Recovery is difficult, with nightmares, flinching, and trauma, but therapy and the Eden family’s support help them heal. Jasper comes to accept the Edens as his family, while Anne, Harrison, and the siblings rally around both of them.
