Summary
Jasper, now the owner of a Montana A-frame, receives a wedding invitation from Sam, a pivotal figure from his past. The card and Sam’s call reignite old shame and fear, and Jasper wrestles with whether attending could prove he has changed. He briefly fantasizes about showing up with his wife but rejects involving Eloise.
He heads to Eden Coffee to meet Foster, burdened by the continued secrecy of his marriage. There, Foster hints Lyla may have a crush on Jasper, compounding Jasper’s guilt as he hides the truth from his closest friend.
