Overview

Junior violently coerces McKinney into signing over Velvet's building and lowering tenants' rents, securing his path to going legit. Returning home, he finds Lauren waiting in ambush; she tasers him and confronts him about her father's disappearance. Provoked by her accusations, Junior sarcastically claims he killed Tommy, then desperately recants, but Lauren refuses to believe him and walks out of his life.

Summary

Junior infiltrates Patrick McKinney's building, finding it poorly secured. Posing as a finance professional, he forces his way into McKinney's apartment, overpowers him, and uses pliers to coerce him. Junior reveals he now owns McKinney's debt to Tyler (under the alias Mr. Strickland) and demands the deed to Velvet's building. When McKinney resists, Junior cuts off his pinkie finger, then threatens further mutilation until McKinney agrees to sign over the building and lower rents on his other tenants.

After a draining day of dealing with McKinney's pleading, Junior calls Tyler to confirm the acquisition. Riding home, he checks the tracking software on Lauren's phone and discovers she's at his apartment. Excited, he assumes she's planning a surprise and sneaks in to ambush her playfully.

Instead, Lauren tasers him in the back. Junior reflexively grabs her by the throat and nearly punches her before recognizing her, instead striking the wall. Lauren scrambles away, terrified, accusing him of being involved in her father Tommy's disappearance. Junior tries to deflect, but Lauren reveals Kristen told her about the Trocci family being Lorenzo's cleanup crew.

Junior's temper flares when Lauren calls him by his nickname. Pressed to deny killing Tommy, he hesitates, then sarcastically confesses out of anger, saying he killed Tommy and then slept with his daughter. Horrified, Lauren prepares to flee. Junior immediately recants, insisting he didn't kill Tommy and that he was lashing out, but the damage is done.

Junior warns Lauren to keep what she's learned secret because his father might harm her, then steps back to let her leave, refusing to physically stop her. Lauren retrieves her taser, rejects his pleas for another chance, and walks out, declaring she'll never listen to him again. Junior realizes too late that he loves her and may have lost her forever.
