33. Star

Mona, sore and jittery from wiz, waits alone in Molly’s gray Japanese sedan atop a snowy Manhattan parking structure near the mountain-like hotel where Prior had taken her. Restless, she flips through news about global unrest and spots Angie on a live feed, then dozes and wakes to a large black helicopter maneuvering toward the garage.

The helicopter descends hard onto the roof. Mona dives from the car as an emergency panel blows and an orange slide deploys. Molly appears with a bundled Angie, hustling both women into the car. Molly warns that Angie’s "Martian spade" will wake soon, and orders them to the back as she drives down the spiral ramp.

Molly steers into a level of parked vehicles, finds a white Cathode Cathay hover, and loads the sedan via ramps into its cargo bay. Mona helps stow the ramps while absorbing the shock of being beside the real Angie. Molly inflates the hover’s bags and speeds down through the structure.

Anticipating Net security with parafoils, Molly halts before a striped service door, detonates it with a blue box, and powers the hover into the wet street, escaping with crude efficiency. Angie laughs at the blunt tactics but accepts them given the urgency.

As they flee, Molly prompts Mona to recount what Prior did to Eddy and what she told Molly before, tying Mona’s coerced past to Angie’s present abduction. Mona, overwhelmed that Angie addresses her by name, begins to speak, signaling the merging of their stories under Molly’s protection.
