Maevyth meets Ravezio as Zevander orders him to bring in a flammellian who drugged and abused Rykaia, vowing the culprit will not leave alive. Zevander takes Maevyth to the training hall to drill Aeryz, explaining its purpose and pressing her to weaponize her perceived weakness.

Maevyth accidentally casts Osflagulle, hurling ancient bones at Zevander. Dolion identifies it as a rare bone-whip glyph no mage in Aethyria holds. Zevander resumes grueling Aeryz practice, refusing praise and demanding focus until Maevyth, exhausted, pushes back. Dolion shares Zevander’s relentless training roots with Solvyn, suggesting Zevander’s severity aims to prevent Maevyth’s failure.

After a brief break, Maevyth unleashes a true Aeryz that knocks Zevander breathless; the glyph glows silvery blue as a major glyph.
