Georgia rushes to the hospital for Adie’s birth and holds her granddaughter, cautiously sharing space with Adam and Evie. Outside, Georgia and Evie reconcile through tears, acknowledging choices made after 9/11 and the complicated love that bound and separated them. Georgia dedicates three weeks to help Molly at home, vigilantly watching for signs of postpartum psychosis while providing practical support, sleep coverage, and reassurance. She resumes medication faithfully and begins a phoenix mosaic for Adie, rediscovering creative joy.

Georgia and Adam fall into an easy rapport during errands and stroller walks, swapping memories and admitting past denial and grief. At RISD, after Molly wrestles with identity and work ambitions, they run into Chad Beekman, who later recognizes Georgia as Eloise. Fearing exposure and its legal and financial consequences, Georgia prepares to flee, but Molly extracts a promise she will not leave without telling her.

The story breaks when Chad leaks Georgia’s identity, sparking national punditry and harassment outside Georgia’s apartment. Adam issues a careful public statement asking for privacy. That night, Molly appears on 60 Minutes, reframing Georgia’s disappearance as undiagnosed postpartum psychosis and crediting Georgia’s watchful return for a safe postpartum period. Encouraged, Jesse escorts a shaken, paint-splattered Georgia through protesters to Molly’s home, where Molly pleads with her to stay.

In the aftermath, Georgia is fired by Dr. Mantillard for deception but is offered severance; the doctor notes the potential public-health good from raised awareness. Georgia continues Adie’s mosaic and limits media. Molly arranges a unity dinner with Adam and Evie. Old tensions surface, including a trivet made from Georgia’s unfinished pre-9/11 mosaic, and Evie—stung by public judgment and uncertainty about her marriage—storms out.

As Adie cries and Molly and Jesse step away, Georgia and Adam are briefly tender before Georgia urges him to go to Evie, affirming that Evie must be chosen as his wife. Georgia accepts that her place is with Molly and Adie, not as a wedge in Adam and Evie’s marriage.
