Overview
Donna opens up to Ibrahim about loneliness and lost friendships. Ibrahim counsels her to look forward, sharing his own fear after the attack. Reaffirming their support for each other, they refocus on the case and begin analyzing the biker CCTV footage Donna brought.
Summary
Donna visits Ibrahim and confesses she misses the dancing, drugs, and friends of her past, realizing how isolated she feels in Fairhaven. Ibrahim gently steers her to see that the core loss is friendship, not activities, and urges her to accept that the old time will not return.
Using a mountain metaphor, Ibrahim encourages Donna to look ahead to her own next “mountain,” where new friends, promotions, or babies might be found. Donna jokes, but accepts the message. She admits to feeling stupid, while Ibrahim names loneliness as “one of the big ones” and offers his chair and support whenever she needs it.
The conversation turns as Donna notices Ibrahim’s own sadness. Ibrahim admits fear and exhaustion after the mugging, and he briefly breaks down. Donna promises to be there for him in return, and they agree to keep the moment private from the others, even though they both know the group already understands.
Recentered, they decide to “solve a murder.” Donna fixes her make-up while Ibrahim loads the CCTV Donna brought—the footage of the mysterious figure in motorcycle leathers. Side by side, they prepare to identify the biker as Ibrahim presses play.
