Chapter 59
Overview
Donna and Ibrahim review Left-Luggage CCTV and identify the biker as Siobhan, Poppy’s mother, clearly opening the locker the day before Poppy was killed. The revelation ties Siobhan directly to the missing diamonds and Poppy’s death timeline, escalating the stakes and prompting them to alert Elizabeth.
Summary
In the security room, Ibrahim and Donna queue up the Left-Luggage footage to moments before the locker was opened. They observe routine customer traffic, including a Costa employee briefly approaching the desk and leaving.
Moments later, the leather-clad biker enters frame—the same figure previously linked to the diamonds. The receptionist calls the biker back, requests identification, and asks for the helmet to be removed.
When the helmet comes off, the face is unmistakable to Donna and Ibrahim: it is Siobhan, Poppy’s mother. The footage shows Siobhan proceed toward the lockers, clearly connected to the attempt to retrieve the diamonds.
They also spot Joyce’s friendship bracelet on Siobhan’s wrist as she replaces the helmet, corroborating Kendrick’s earlier observation. The timing—one day before Poppy’s shooting—directly links Siobhan to the locker search and raises urgent questions about her role.
Confronted with this revelation, Ibrahim concludes they must inform Elizabeth, and Donna agrees, recognizing the discovery’s significance for the diamonds case and Poppy’s murder.
