Overview

Summary
In the Drakharrow common room, Blake broods while others feed from thralls, his hunger sharpened by the scent of blood and the memory of Medra Pendragon’s potent bite. He resents the restriction of feeding only once a week, on Medra’s terms, and hides his dependency from his uncle and Marcus.
When Laurent taunts Blake about his hunger, Blake responds with physical intimidation, throwing Laurent out, reasserting authority but revealing fraying control. Regan arrives to argue that Blake needs her and their former alliance; Blake firmly rejects her, ending any hope of reconciliation.
Agitated and craving, Blake invites a flirtatious highblood girl onto his lap, seeking distraction and validation. As he kisses her, Medra enters with kava. Blake escalates the display to provoke a reaction, but Medra shows only distaste and leaves without engagement.
Medra’s indifference enrages Blake, who abandons the highblood and storms to his room. The scene closes with Blake’s jealousy and hunger unresolved, highlighting his growing dependence on Medra’s blood and his diminishing control over his impulses.
