Overview

Summary
After Medra flees, Blake, wracked with guilt over his family’s role in weaponizing Florence against her, refuses to leave her alone. He goes to her room, finds her in tears, and offers wordless comfort, admitting she deserves kindness. Their grief and need turn into a tender, reverent physical intimacy.
During pauses, Blake reassures Medra that nothing will happen to Florence and swears to keep her safe. Medra consents throughout, and Blake focuses on giving solace rather than taking advantage. The encounter culminates in mutual release and a quieter closeness rather than distance.
Afterward, Blake remains, runs a lavender bath, and holds Medra in the water until her tension eases. She invites him to stay, and they return to bed. Blake silently commits not to leave her again, whispering “Mine” as they fall asleep, signaling his deepening attachment and protective resolve.
