Luca wakes in the hostel to a red-letter monologue from the blackmailer, who has entered his room unnoticed. The message confirms Telma is alive and orders Luca to go to Paris and kill a target at 2 p.m. at 24 Rue des Amandiers. Panicked, Luca discovers his corridor camera wasn’t recording. He resolves to protect Liv and his mom, showers, then opens the envelope’s photo and is horrified by the intended victim.

With no funds, Luca uses his mother’s “rainy day” cash to buy Eurostar tickets. He calls the bookshop to feign illness and chats briefly with Joe to feel normal. In Paris, Luca reaches Rue des Amandiers and spots the target: a teenage girl walking her spaniel, Atos. Forced to choose between disobedience and risking Liv, Telma, his mother—or himself—he follows them into Père Lachaise. Reeling, Luca buys a new T-shirt, heads to Gare du Nord, and calls Liv, masking his horror with banter while concealing he’s in Paris. Back in London, he avoids her, returns to the hostel, and collapses into exhausted sleep.
