Summary
Cornered by Eden Wessex wielding a high-end Wessex firearm, Parisa rejects panic and channels telepathic force, snapping Eden’s wrist and seizing the weapon. She pins Eden by the throat, asserting control and shifting the power balance.
Parisa probes Eden’s thoughts, extracting fragments that confirm Nothazai leads a broader team assembled by the same figure opposing Atlas. Eden warns that killing her won’t stop the pursuit, implying relentless hunters. Assessing risks and her own waning leverage, Parisa releases Eden but monitors her intentions.
Realizing Eden has no magic—only money and tech masking her lack—Parisa humiliates and neutralizes her, commanding Eden to remain immobilized on the pavement. The encounter clarifies the scale of the threat against Parisa’s cohort.
