Summary
As snowfall veils the battlefield, Evelyn instructs Acker to ready the army to take cover at a final count. Jovie, burning with grief and resolve, extinguishes campfires to match the enemy’s darkness and anchors the front with Acker, Fredrich, and Zion. When Wren’s forces crash into them, Jovie ignites every nearby blade, blinding opponents and giving their line a crucial edge.
The fight devolves into chaos as trolls enter. Zion wounds the one-eyed troll’s sole to open a path, and Acker blinds and topples it by spearing its remaining eye. A second troll targets Acker until Wren compels the giant—only for Kai to slit Wren’s throat from behind. The troll collapses into slumber; slaughter continues across the mire.
Sam unveils golden butterflies and leads a rising chant—Light Wielder—timed as a countdown. On the final beats, Jovie unleashes a beam into the butterflies, which refract the light into sweeping lances that sear exposed enemies.
