Overview
Emmett discovers the production has fabricated a sex scene of him with Evelyn and confronts Richard on set, reaffirming his quit and routing all communication through his lawyer. Shaken, Emmett scours the town for Julia but fails to find her, confessing his devotion to Theo amid rising stakes.
Summary
Emmett arrives on set intent on finding Julia after deciding to quit and lawyering up. Julia texts, “How could you?” but goes silent, fueling his anxiety.
Inside the production trailer, Ben shows Emmett a recorded scene of “Emmett” with Evelyn. Realizing it’s fabricated, Emmett storms out to confront producer Richard. Teri stops him from escalating, admitting they lacked a proper on-camera conclusion. Richard cites the contract and claims manufacturing usable footage is acceptable.
Emmett refuses to comply, declares he’s done, and announces that all further communication must go through his lawyer, challenging Richard to sue. The crew watches as tensions peak; Emmett leaves the set determined to find Julia.
Emmett searches her condo, Prickle Point, the diner (where Martha questions him), and the Sugar Saloon, growing increasingly panicked. Failing to locate Julia, he drives to the Silva family farm.
At the farmhouse, Theo answers. Emmett insists he hasn’t hurt Julia and professes he would lay down his life for her, begging for help. Theo hasn’t seen her but agrees to try to reach out, warning that Julia is too good for Emmett. Emmett, defeated and desperate, agrees and continues his search.
