Overview
Anastasia and Aaron qualify for sectionals, intensifying pressure and exposing contrasts in their outlooks. After Sabrina attends the Titans’ win, she drags Anastasia to The Honeypot, where the hockey team celebrates. Anastasia nervously faces Nate; they exchange teasing, intimate banter, and renewed chemistry, signaling a thaw and potential shift in loyalties.
Summary
Anastasia rides post-competition anxiety as Aaron calmly reassures her. Their performance secures a spot at sectionals, and Coach Brady praises Anastasia, needling her about untapped potential. The achievement raises stakes for the coming month and underscores the duo’s mismatched confidence and dependence.
On the drive home, Aaron praises their partnership but disparages Sabrina’s involvement with the hockey team, urging Anastasia to avoid them. Anastasia swallows her frustration, noting Aaron’s alternating tenderness and cutting remarks, and chooses not to reveal her plans to go out with Sabrina that night.
Sabrina returns ecstatic from the Titans’ home win, cajoling Anastasia to celebrate at The Honeypot using their connection to Briar for VIP access. Anastasia, nervous about seeing Nate after their previous encounter, resolves to be civil. At the club, they join the Titans’ celebration; Henry surprisingly draws admiring attention, and teammates share post-game stories.
Nate appears behind Anastasia, commenting on her head injury and revealing his own fresh cut from the game. Their playful exchange—teasing about fights and her quad Lutz—rekindles attraction and softens prior tension. Nate’s parting line that he’s already amazed by her cements the renewed spark, hinting at shifting boundaries despite Aaron’s warnings.
