Ten | Nathan
Overview
Nathan’s jealousy spikes after a team chat suggests Anastasia is involved with Ryan and reveals she lives in the same building as friends. At the rink, he witnesses Anastasia’s quad attempt end in a crash, then tends her injuries and urges a hospital visit, learning she lives with Aaron.
Summary
Nathan Hawkins fixates on his upstairs hookup with Anastasia, frustrated that she has been avoiding him and uncertain about her relationship with Aaron. A team group chat reveals Anastasia, Summer, and Kitty live in the same building, and stirs Nathan’s jealousy with claims that Anastasia sleeps with Ryan Rothwell.
Determined to talk to her, Nathan arrives early at the rink and, for the first time, watches Anastasia skate. He is awed by her performance until she attempts a quad, crashes hard into the boards, and begins bleeding from her hairline.
Nathan steps in, calmly taking Anastasia to the first aid room, cleaning and dressing the cut, icing her shoulder, and recommending a hospital check and rest. Anastasia resists, citing a competition the next day, but allows the treatment and banter eases the tension between them.
Aaron arrives to take Anastasia’s things and, to Nathan’s surprise, mentions he can check on her at night because they live together. Nathan masks his reaction, wishes them luck, and leaves to rejoin his team, who promptly tease him about the encounter.
