Four | Nathan
Overview
Nate confronts rookie Russ and learns Russ may have provoked retaliation by hooking up with someone’s taken girlfriend. Despite warnings, the team throws a party. Nate connects with Anastasia, easing tensions and sharing personal details, but he lies about the team’s innocence. Their flirtation is cut short when Aaron catches them together.
Summary
Nate corrals the rattled hockey team after the sabotage fallout and pulls rookie Russ aside. Under pressure, Russ admits he hooked up with a woman who had a boyfriend; the boyfriend threatened him, and Russ suspects the retaliation led to the rink damage. Nate orders Russ to keep quiet to avoid team consequences.
That night, the team hosts a packed party despite administrative warnings. Nate flirts with friends, spots Anastasia, and offers drinks to her and her friend Sabrina. Robbie arrives and mutually flirts with Sabrina, while Anastasia remains guarded and skeptical of Nate.
Nate escorts Anastasia upstairs to avoid bathroom lines. In his room, they banter and snoop, revealing majors (sports medicine and business) and backgrounds (Colorado and Seattle). Anastasia admits she dislikes hockey; Nate invites her to a game and, under pressure, promises the team did nothing, despite his doubts about Russ's situation.
They head back downstairs with an eased rapport. At the bottom of the stairs, their moment is interrupted when Anastasia’s boyfriend, Aaron, spots them holding hands and glares, signaling imminent conflict.
