Jeremy argues he already covers the apartment, Teddy’s tuition, and Rosita, and suggests Naomi pay for extras or return to medicine. He proposes Rosita handle pickups to free Naomi’s time. The practicality and a brief return of his supportive tone encourage Naomi to consider restarting her practice, raising hope that self-sufficiency might repair their marriage.

Momentum shifts when Jeremy insists she secure a lawyer and have counsel contact his, ending the call abruptly.
