Naomi and Cora take their sons to a more secluded playground to avoid gossip. They watch the boys play while breaking the ice over rumors about Cora’s appearance, which Cora laughs off. Cora then confronts the situation directly, noting Naomi’s separation and the public serving of divorce papers.

Naomi explains that a younger woman has captivated Jeremy, and she still hopes to save the marriage. Cora dismisses the midlife-crisis excuse and insists Jeremy has made his choice. When Naomi admits there is a prenup and she has no lawyer, Cora pushes her to hire a “shark,” claiming prenups can be defeated.

Cora recommends her own attorney, Stefanie Gorman, especially since Jeremy already retained Lenny Hardwick. Naomi hesitates because retaining counsel feels like accepting the divorce, but Cora emphasizes protecting finances and maximizing time with Teddy, warning that custody demands can escalate in ugly ways.

Cora physically hands Naomi Stefanie’s number and secures a promise that Naomi will call. They tentatively plan a future outing, while Naomi privately clings to the hope of reconciliation and believes Veronica is manipulating Jeremy. Naomi leaves determined to defend herself yet still intent on uncovering the truth from Veronica.
