• Zalaric Hanoverre
  A powerful half-mortal illusionist in Umbros, known as the Jaguar. Once saved by Luther, he shelters half-mortal children, is coerced into betraying Diem’s group, and later joins them in exile and loyalty.
• Queen Yrselle of Umbros
  The formidable Umbros Queen whose mind magic, political leverage, and cryptic warnings shape Diem’s understanding of power and fate. Her death transfers the Umbros Crown to Diem and triggers a major shift in the balance of the realms.
• Symond
  Yrselle’s Chief Centenary and a dangerous practitioner of Umbros mind magic. He ambushes Diem’s group, exposes Zalaric’s coerced betrayal, and embodies the threat of psychic control.
• Doriel
  The Crown of Sophos, a calculating ruler who bargains with Diem against Ophiucae. Doriel supports Diem when useful but later engineers a coercive Forging revision and uses Teller as leverage.
• Ophiucae
  Diem’s birth father and a powerful silvery-eyed figure linked to the erased Kindred Omnos. Freed after Diem’s blood cracks the Temple stone, he leads marked mortals, attacks Descended realms, and seeks to draw Diem into his vision of liberation.
• King of Fortos
  The brutal Fortos ruler who imprisons and tortures Auralie and other captives. His confrontation with Diem ends with an ancient presence crowning her as Fortos’s new Queen.
• King of Ignios
  The hostile fire Crown who hunts Diem in Ignios and later murders Yrselle during the Coeurîle vote. His final ambush leaves Diem stabbed through the heart.
• Arboros Queen
  The captured Arboros sovereign whom Diem first encounters in the Guardian camp. She later refuses Diem’s pardon request publicly but quietly signals an escape route for the Guardians.
• Meros King
  One of the Crowns involved in Diem’s pardon and the forced Forging revision. He supports Diem after Doriel’s urging but remains part of the system that coerces her at Coeurîle.
• Faunos Queen
