Fiona is fatally shot, making Wren promise to protect Poppy. Poppy manifests lethal power to save Wren. Reaching an empty airfield, Wren learns Evlynne betrayed Bramble’s location to Travis, claiming Wren prompted contact with Fisher’s father.
Summary
An explosion shakes Bramble Base and surveillance shows attackers breaching the main hatch. Teriq orders a split: combat teams to contain, Wren and Mako to evacuate civilians via a secondary hatch by medical. Amid smoke and failing lights, Wren joins Fiona, Poppy, and patients to push toward the escape.
Gunmen reach the corridor as civilians climb out. Wren and Mako hold the line, dropping the advance, but Fiona is gut- and lung-shot. As Mako leads evac trucks, Fiona makes Wren promise to protect Poppy; she dies despite Wren’s efforts.
Outside at a hidden carport, Poppy refuses to leave. Speed bikes arrive; Wren downs one rider and confronts Theo from Silver Elite. The struggle turns deadly until Poppy reveals a glowing-vein power and stops Theo’s heart at range, saving Wren.
With comms jammed, Adrienne links telepathically: she and Karra escaped, but Teriq was captured and Declan killed; casualties are heavy. Wren and Poppy reach the designated airfield to find no extraction.
Wren finally connects with Evlynne and learns the truth: Evlynne disclosed Bramble’s location to Travis Redden, claiming she withheld secondary hatches and did it after Wren urged contacting Fisher’s father.
