Chapter 3
Overview
Grace hosts Logan in her dorm, where casual movie-watching turns into easy conversation and palpable attraction. Despite her nerves and his awkward small talk, they connect over humor and honesty. Logan admits being drunk at last night’s party, and when Grace’s interest is obvious, he initiates a kiss, shifting their dynamic from strangers to potential romance.
Summary
Grace narrates as Logan sits on her bed to watch Die Hard, his physical presence heightening her nerves and attraction. They trade light conversation about landing planes, and Grace relaxes when Logan’s laidback humor makes talking easier.
After the movie ends, Logan asks why she’s in on a Friday. Grace mentions last night’s Omega Phi party and that she saw him; Logan admits he was too drunk to remember much. Grace confesses she babbles around guys and felt she’d humiliated herself.
The tension shifts as Logan notes she isn’t babbling now, and his attentive gaze signals interest. Grace debates making the first move, clearly wanting to kiss him but hesitating.
When Logan senses her desire, he checks whether she wants him to leave. Encouraged by her invitation to stay, he slides closer, touches her cheek, and, acknowledging her look, says he’s thinking of kissing her—openly moving their interaction toward a romantic first kiss.
