Chapter 12
Overview
Grace prepares for a potential first time, bolstered by Ramona’s advice to project confidence. Logan arrives intending to end things but is swept into intense intimacy until Grace reveals she’s a virgin. Confronted by his unresolved feelings for someone else, Logan stops and confesses he can’t be serious. Devastated, Grace sends him away, creating a sharp rift.
Summary
Grace asks Ramona what turns men on and gets the answer: confidence. Ramona urges Grace to take charge and distinguish herself, teasing about kink but ultimately stressing self-assurance. Though nervous, Grace decides to invite Logan over, aiming to see where the night leads rather than forcing sex.
Meanwhile, Logan debates how to handle Grace’s text, weighing ignoring her, declining by message, or speaking in person. Determined to do the mature thing, he goes to her dorm planning to end it.
When Logan arrives, Grace kisses him and takes the initiative. Their make-out escalates quickly; Grace undresses him, gives him oral, and they move to the bed. As they’re about to have sex, Grace shyly admits she’s a virgin, which jolts Logan’s conscience.
Logan stops everything, saying she deserves better for her first time and admitting he can’t offer anything serious. Under pressure, he reveals he’s tangled up over someone else. Grace realizes she has been a distraction and feels humiliated and angry.
Grace asks Logan to leave. He apologizes but exits as she shuts the door, leaving their budding relationship fractured and both of them aching.
