Chapter 34

Grace storms into the campus station, still furious that Logan assumed she would leave him when he moves home to help his family. She notices Daisy acting oddly and learns Daisy has been secretly hooking up with Morris, which briefly lifts Grace’s mood.

Grace begins producing Pace and Evelyn’s show as callers queue. Mid-broadcast, Logan phones in, admits he screwed up, and confesses he’s in love with his girlfriend—naming Grace on-air. He praises her character and makes clear that their bond is about more than sex.

Logan then appears outside the booth, confirms publicly that Grace is the woman he loves, and hangs up to speak to her in person. Morris covers the board so Grace can go to Logan.

Face-to-face, Logan apologizes and explains he made a grand gesture to show his remorse. He promises he won’t leave her, says he’s in it for the long haul, and even admits he can see marriage one day. He commits to visiting often while living in Munsen and dedicating his available time to Grace.

Grace, reassured but mindful of his fears about a bleak future, asks if he meant everything. Logan describes love as needing her more than anything, and vows not to let his obligations destroy them. Grace says she loves him too. They joke about his poem and future screwups, then seal their reconciliation with a kiss.
