Late at night, Dante eats cereal while contemplating his worthlessness, his missing hand, and his place as a disappointment to his family. He picks up a sharp knife and presses it to his wrist, considering suicide, but is interrupted when Roman comes home with pizza, remembering Dante's preference for pineapple toppings—a small gesture that pulls Dante back from the edge.

At 2 a.m., Roman is awakened by a call from Yellaboy's phone—but it's Tranquil, giving him an address in Warren County and warning him to drive himself. Roman wakes Dante and instructs him that if he doesn't return, Dante should contact Khalil to enact Plan A, take the safe contents, and flee with Neveah. Neveah overhears and demands answers; Roman lies that he's just paying off a drug dealer and promises to return. He grabs a gun and the Challenger keys.

Roman drives to the farm, steadying himself with strategic wisdom from Musashi and reasoning that Torrent's greed makes killing him illogical. He arrives at a remote farmhouse and is escorted by D-Train into a kennel housing pit bulls. Torrent is affectionately playing with his dog Zulu, while Tranquil stands with two enormous dogs at his feet.

D-Train pulls a tarp off a chair, revealing Yellaboy's mutilated corpse—his legs eaten down to the bone by Torrent's dogs, Hoss and Rosie. Torrent explains that Yellaboy betrayed them by talking to the Ghost Town Crew for fifty grand and was responsible for the failed hit on Saturday night. Roman silently realizes this clears him of suspicion for the staged drive-by.

Torrent then commits to Roman's plan: they'll acquire the construction company and demo team, with Roman as the face, keeping two sets of books. He threatens that if Roman betrays them, Roman will die in that chair after watching Dante and Neveah be fed to the dogs. D-Train and Eddie help load Yellaboy's body into the Challenger's trunk.

Driving back to the crematory, Roman recognizes that Torrent has handed him exactly what he needs. He resolves to remove Torrent and Tranquil from the board, recalling his father's lesson that a king without queen or pawns is just wood.
