Roman drives Dante to Candy's, a club housed in a converted warehouse decorated with LED lights and neon pop art. As they enter, Dante warns about the rougher venues in town and reflects on his place as the family's emotional baby brother. Roman is recognized by old acquaintances, reminding him how difficult Jefferson Run is to leave behind.

At the bar, Dante orders rounds for himself, Roman, and a steady stream of acquaintances, particularly a woman named Trina and her friends. Roman gently warns Dante that buying drinks for everyone isn't sustainable, especially with their father hospitalized and medical bills looming. Dante breaks down, insisting he loves their father despite being labeled a leech, and admits he is "fucked up." Roman comforts him with an embrace and assures him he is home, privately acknowledging the comforting lie.

Past 1 a.m., Roman moves to leave. Dante's demeanor shifts to fear when a group enters the club: two wiry men, one with a large Afro and leather jacket bearing a skull-in-top-hat pendant, the other with long braids who seems to wink at them. The men take the VIP area as the crowd parts. Dante urgently demands they leave, sounding suddenly sober.

Outside in the parking lot, after Roman pays and they reach the Challenger, a man strolls past with a flaming beer mug and pours burning liquor across the car's hood. Roman tries to beat out the flames with his shirt, which catches fire too. The crowd jeers as Roman seethes. Dante pleads to leave, and Roman tears out of the lot, the smell of scorched metal and liquor filling the car.
