Oath

After an evening run, Dr. Fionn Kane gets a motion alert at his clinic and, expecting a nuisance, instead sees an unknown, unsteady woman enter. He sprints back, finds a crashed motorcycle, blood on the door, and follows a blood trail to an exam room where Rose lies unconscious with an open lower-leg fracture and improvised tourniquets.

Fionn activates emergency care: calls 911, secures vitals, starts fluids, applies a proper tourniquet, and prepares Rose for transport. In the ambulance, Rose wakes, claims a motorcycle skid caused the injury, denies alcohol, and needles Fionn about his credentials. He reassures her she will not lose her leg and promises to stay through surgery.

At the hospital, Fionn remains with Rose, escorts diagnostics, and scrubs in to assist the orthopedic fixation. Post-op, he lingers by her bed. Dr. Chopra mentions another case that night: Matt Cranwell, a belligerent patient with cocktail sticks lodged in an eye, now unsalvageable.

Increasingly suspicious about Rose’s story, Fionn checks her belongings: lockpicking tools, Texas ID, little cash. He then finds a loose driver’s license—Matt Cranwell’s—hidden in her jacket, tying Rose to Matt’s injury and recasting her “accident” as fallout from a violent encounter.
