Reduction

Fionn answers a call from Rose about a man claiming to be his brother; after verifying Rowan’s childhood nickname, Fionn rushes home. He finds Rowan with Sloane, who bears facial bruising and a painful shoulder after being thrown from a roof. Assessing her, Fionn suspects a concussion and diagnoses a shoulder dislocation.

Fionn proposes a closed reduction at his clinic to avoid hospital attention. Rose offers clothing and support. Tension flares between the brothers over Fionn’s bruised knuckles and his feelings for Rose, with Rowan urging Fionn to allow himself simple happiness rather than rigid restraint.

At the clinic, Fionn injects lidocaine and slowly manipulates Sloane’s shoulder back into place. Rowan steadies Sloane through the pain, and Rose helps dress and settle her afterward. The procedure succeeds, and Sloane leaves fitted with a sling and pain medication.

Back at the house, conversation stays polite but distant between Fionn and Rose as Rowan and Sloane’s bond intensifies. Late that night, hearing Rowan and Sloane together, Fionn confronts his loneliness and desire. He goes to Rose’s door but stops himself, returning to bed with a new, unsettling question: what if he stopped trying so hard to be a different man?
