Summary
Before dawn, Casey remains duct-taped to a chair, exhausted from failed attempts to free herself as the storm subsides. She hopes Lee might check on her later but knows help is hours away. Fear mounts as she anticipates Eleanor’s intentions.
Eleanor emerges from the bedroom fully dressed with her backpack, holding Casey’s gun and a switchblade. She calmly tells Casey she needs the gun and repeats that she intends to ensure justice is served. The sight of the knife triggers Casey’s terror, recalling the violent sketch in the green notebook she secretly hid.
Eleanor demands the notebook’s location. Casey denies taking it, though Eleanor clearly suspects her. After pressing forward, Eleanor abruptly says Casey can keep it, claiming she doesn’t care, but she continues to close the distance, ignoring Casey’s pleas and promises to help.
Moving behind the bound Casey, Eleanor raises the knife. Casey braces for mutilation, helpless and convinced Eleanor will carry out the threats implied by the drawing. The scene culminates as Eleanor brings the blade down, with the immediate result unrevealed.
