Overview
Evie presents the prophecy, and the group realizes Kingsley is the southern prince trapped as a frog. They identify all prophecy components and confront the need to break Kingsley’s curse.
With the cursing enchantress unreachable, Trystan proposes seeking the elusive Curse Consultant, who will now see them because Trystan "has" Sage, raising personal stakes and urgency as the guvre’s birth nears.
Summary
Evie convenes a second strategy meeting and reads the newly revealed prophecy. Amid banter, she clarifies that Kingsley, the frog, is Alexander Kingsley, prince of the southern kingdom. The room absorbs that the prophecy’s pieces include starlight magic (Evie’s mother), a Villain with a blackened good heart (Trystan), Fate’s venom (the guvre), and the human prince saving his fated love.
Becky spotlights the practical problem: Kingsley must be restored. Trystan explains he has tried for years, but only the original enchantress can break such a curse. Tatianna adds that the enchantress is imprisoned by the southern monarchs for the prince’s “murder,” and a fortified magical barrier makes direct access impossible.
Pressed for options, Trystan proposes an alternative: the reclusive Curse Consultant. Tatianna warns that the consultant previously refused Trystan, but Trystan insists circumstances have changed—he now possesses what the consultant demanded.
All eyes turn to Evie as Trystan admits the consultant asked for Sage. Trystan’s quiet, charged confirmation—“I have you”—binds their plan to Evie personally. With the guvre’s impending birth compressing their timeline, the group aligns on seeking the Curse Consultant as their only viable path to breaking Kingsley’s curse and advancing the prophecy.
