Summary
Evie and Trystan head to the kitchens to address a reported ghost. Their banter masks strain from recent distance and danger. The specter proves to be Nura Sage, moaning over a burn while attempting to bake Evie’s favorite dessert, unintentionally alarming staff.
Evie’s mixed feelings surge; she resents Nura’s past absence and mistrusts her stability. When Nura asks Evie to stay and bake, Evie deflects with work. Trystan unexpectedly offers to help instead, rolling up his sleeves, which both softens Nura and unsettles Evie with conflicted warmth.
Blade barges in with teasing innuendo, sparking a brief clash with Trystan that Evie diffuses. Attention returns to the failed dough, which Nura worsened by adding pink flour.
Lyssa arrives, devastated that Nura used her pink flour meant for tea scones with Edwin. Nura apologizes, but Lyssa refuses forgiveness, accuses Nura of ruining everything, and bolts. The room falls silent until Gideon checks in after encountering an upset Lyssa.
