LI PIPER

Overview

Piper revives Jason after Hera’s devastating display, forcing a truce between Hera and Thalia. Hera confirms Jason’s Roman origin, his past with Lupa, and a destiny to unite two powers against Gaea.

Thalia departs to warn Annabeth, while Hera teleports the trio back to Camp Half-Blood.

Summary

Piper cradles an unconscious Jason amid the restored Wolf House ruins as Hera, having just unleashed her true form, insists no mortal could survive it. Defying despair, Piper calls Jason back; he gasps awake, eyes briefly blazing gold. Thalia blames Hera, but Piper quells the argument.

Piper compels a truce and Hera acknowledges Piper’s crucial role. Hera explains Porphyrion escaped at partial strength and that giants require a god and demigod together to be slain. Thalia resolves to alert Annabeth and rendezvous later at Camp Half-Blood.

Discussing Jason’s past, Hera admits engineering his separation: his mother drew Zeus twice—once as Jupiter—creating Greek and Roman siblings. Jason was given to Lupa at this sacred site; he later went somewhere Hera refuses to name. Hera says Jason must find his way back and one day unite two great powers against the giants and Gaea.

Hera promises only limited help and sends the trio home. The world flips; they reappear atop the Aphrodite table during dinner at Camp Half-Blood. Leo vomits into a brazier, Chiron stares in shock, and Piper announces their return.
