Overview

Summary
Kenji drives the group into a nearly invisible underground parking garage at night, confirming that his promised hideout is real and difficult to find. Juliette has spent the last stretch trying to keep Adam awake as Adam struggles with exhaustion, blood loss, hunger, and pain.
Kenji says Adam must go straight to the medical wing, revealing that the hideout is far more organized and equipped than Juliette expected. When Juliette asks about James, Kenji admits that Kenji gave James something to make him sleep through the journey, arguing that Kenji wanted to spare the child further trauma. Adam weakly threatens to murder Kenji, and Kenji jokes back before leaving to get help.
While Juliette waits, Juliette comforts Adam and reassures Adam that Adam is almost safe. Four people arrive with Kenji: two men and two women, dressed in white suits with gray stripes. Kenji appears transformed—serious, authoritative, and recognized by the others—while the medical team lifts Adam onto a stretcher and urgently assesses Adam's injuries.
Juliette tries to follow Adam, but Kenji stops Juliette and says Juliette cannot be present for what the medical team needs to do. The separation, combined with hunger, exhaustion, and shock, pushes Juliette into panic. Juliette begins questioning who Kenji really is, fears for James, and worries that Kenji brought Juliette to the hideout for unknown reasons.
Kenji tries to calm Juliette by insisting that Adam, James, and Juliette are safe, but Kenji refuses to let Juliette go to Adam. When Juliette asks what Kenji wants from Juliette, Kenji reaches into Kenji's pocket and says Kenji did not want to do this, leaving Juliette terrified and screaming.
