Overview

Summary
Dumai arrives at snowbound Mount Ipyeda after more than a year away and heads straight for the bell tower. Reading the inscription on the Queen Bell, Dumai decides to act on her newfound understanding: to protect Seiiki, the bell must be rung. She hauls the striker and sounds the bell, its deep call rolling through the night.
After a tense pause, distant bells answer—first one, then another, until the peal spreads across the land from the Rayonti Basin to the coasts. Dumai continues to ring until exhausted, and the summons ripples across Seiiki. In response, the gods—the dragons—awaken from rivers, lakes, harbors, and mangroves, filling the sky like multiplied stars.
As the dragons rise, far away a woman startles awake as the figure in her dream crumbles like ash and a long-maintained thread between them breaks. The severed connection underscores the wider upheaval unleashed by the Queen Bell and the awakening of the gods.
