Tunuva fights in the Crimson Desert, then returns when Esbar recalls the sisters to aid Nzene alongside Gashan’s survivors. On the eve of departure, Canthe approaches Tunuva, asking to see the Mother’s tomb. When Tunuva refuses, Canthe ensorcels her, warping perception with star-lit eyes and guiding her to the burial chamber.

Under Canthe’s sway, Tunuva unlocks Cleolind Onjenyu’s coffin, revealing the incorrupt Mother and a hidden chest in the dais. Inside lies a glowing white stone—the waning jewel. Esbar arrives, her anger shattering the glamour enough for Tunuva to feel the jewel’s pull and seize it, which freezes her hand and body with lethal cold.

Confronted, Canthe demands the jewel and reveals her true identities—the Witch of Inysca, Lady of the Woods—and admits she stole Wulf. She assails Esbar with nightmare illusions. Tunuva, desperate to save Esbar, offers the jewel, then stalls as Hidat shoots Canthe, breaking the onslaught.

As Canthe lunges for the jewel, Tunuva taps a forbidden reserve and unleashes wyrmfire, blasting Canthe into the coffin. Esbar heaves the lid down, crushing Canthe and ending the fight. They distrust appearances, lock the chamber, and reckon that Canthe engineered months of divisions and nightmares to exploit Tunuva, the tomb keeper.

Esbar gives the waning jewel back to Tunuva despite its wrongness, and the sisters resolve to rebury and secure Cleolind and the relic, shaken by betrayal but united for the coming defence of Nzene.
