Overview
Pip organizes a public push to find Jamie. She sends Ravi and Connor to blanket Kilton with posters while she pressures the Kilton Mail to print a missing notice. At the paper, Pip convinces Stanley Forbes to run the appeal and share photos, underscoring rising urgency and suspected foul play.
Summary
On a quiet morning, Ravi meets Pip on the high street, worries about her lack of sleep, and insists she eat while they plan. Pip assigns tasks: Ravi, Connor, and later Cara will distribute missing posters across Kilton; Pip will visit the local paper to widen the appeal.
Connor arrives after calling hospitals with his mother. Pip hands over posters and instructions for shop windows, streets near the common, and Cedar Way, emphasizing urgency as the 37-hour mark passes.
Pip goes to the Kilton Mail office and meets volunteer Mary Scythe before confronting editor Stanley Forbes. After initial awkwardness given their history, she presents Jamie Reynolds’s missing poster and requests the memorial photos he took.
Stanley questions the short timeframe since the memorial, but Pip stresses the critical seventy-two-hour window and her suspicion of foul play. Stanley agrees to print the notice, moving other content to make space, and to email the photos. As Pip leaves, he remarks that mysteries seem to find her.
