Pip, still convinced Jamie was catfished by someone posing as “Leila,” brings a skeptical Connor to The Book Cellar after receiving a tip. She reflects on how Ravi helps her think, contrasting his support with Connor’s doubts, and resolves to verify the lead and later search for Leila online.

Inside the shop, Pip meets Harry (who emailed), along with coworkers Soph and Mike. With their consent, she records a formal interview at the counter, establishing that after the memorial they had gathered at Mike’s house on Wyvil Road with a friend, Lucy, and left together in Harry’s car.

They reconstruct the time: Mike believes they left around 11:40 p.m., since he was in bed by 11:45 after seeing them off. Outside, they saw Jamie walking up Wyvil Road, away from town, moving fast and seemingly focused, with heavy breathing.

On clothing, Soph and Harry recall Jamie in a burgundy shirt, jeans, and trainers, matching the memorial photo Pip shows. Mike, who saw mostly Jamie’s back, remembers darker clothing with a hood and hands in jacket pockets; he concedes it was dark and his view was brief.
