Overview

Pip and Ravi follow a Reddit tip to a grave on the churchyard’s left side and find Hillary Weiseman’s secluded plot, suggesting a potential meeting spot for Jamie. A card links the grave to Mary and Harry Scythe. Stanley Forbes confirms their identities, tying Harry—already a Wyvil Road witness—to the scene, while Jason Bell’s glare underscores lingering tensions.

Summary

Passing the Bells’ house, Pip locks eyes with Jason Bell through the window, his hostile look reminding her of the town’s fraught history. She and Ravi continue uphill to the church to test a Reddit theory that “left” in Jamie’s note meant the left side of the churchyard.

They search for Hillary F. Weiseman’s grave, debating whether Natalie da Silva or Tom Nowak lied about Jamie’s movements. Split up, Ravi locates the grave in a sheltered corner, which Pip notes would be ideal for a secret meeting. Near it, they find an old bouquet with a card: “Dear Mum… Love from Mary, Harry and Joe.”

Stanley Forbes unexpectedly arrives, saying he’s there to see the vicar. When Pip asks, he identifies the names: Mary Scythe, a volunteer at the paper, and her sons Harry and Joe. Pip recalls Harry Scythe as a Wyvil Road witness and learns he works at The Book Cellar, further tying local figures to Jamie’s last known movements.

Pip thanks Stanley for printing Jamie’s notice, then she and Ravi leave, acknowledging the lead is suggestive but not conclusive: the grave could be Jamie’s meeting point, and the Scythe family connection warrants follow-up. The encounter with Jason Bell lingers as a reminder of unresolved tensions from Andie’s case.
