Summary
Five months after the shooting, Charly waits for Thinking Skills Group with Helga, Dr. Vincent, and Angela. They remark on seeing Charly with her husband and question his innocence, which Charly lets pass. Helga admires Charly’s ring, then, drawing on her jeweler background, reveals it’s cubic zirconia, unsettling Charly.
During Taboo, Charly falters on a simple card, missing the word and feeling defeated by her slowed processing. When Dr. Vincent removes his Yankees cap, Charly immediately identifies a likely squamous cell carcinoma on his scalp, explaining the urgency for biopsy and removal.
