Summary
Four months after the injury, Charly practices wheelchair mobility with physical therapist Natalie in the hallway. Natalie explains that despite walking exercises, Charly will primarily use a wheelchair after discharge, a reality that disappoints Charly.
When asked to place both hands on the rims, Charly’s left neglect and impaired sensation lead her to mistakenly grab Natalie’s arm. Natalie adapts the plan, removing the right footrest so Charly can propel with her right hand and guide with her right foot, keeping the left side stable.
