Overview
Vic recognizes Holland, threatens exposure, and is neutralized by Adam’s memory magic, enabling their escape. At JME’s props warehouse, Tom confirms the hold slip’s purpose and recalls Ben’s final, unusual request. This narrows Holland’s search and positions Tom as a crucial link to Ben’s hidden plan.
Summary
Vic VanVleet confronts Holland and Adam inside Ben Tierney’s former bungalow, immediately recognizing Holland as Ben’s daughter and revealing she once loved Ben. Vic insults Isla and threatens to call police and press when she catches them with the photo.
Adam grabs Vic’s wrist and uses his power to interrupt the call, asking Holland to leave so he won’t over-alter Vic’s memories. Holland waits outside, anxious, until Adam emerges with golf cart keys he obtained from Vic.
They drive to JME’s vast props warehouse, slipping in as a tour concludes. After the crowd leaves, the head of the department, Tom, greets them. Holland claims they’re film students; Tom recalls Ben fondly and recognizes details that make him study Holland closely.
Holland and Adam present the hidden hold slip. Tom explains it’s used to reserve items for pickup and notes the instructions are odd. He remembers Ben’s last visit, just before Ben died, when Ben made an unusual request. Tom invites them to follow so he can show them.
