Summary
Holland travels to the Old LA Zoo for Folklore 517, following classmates’ insistence that this session is important. The site’s stench, cramped cages, and grim legends—hauntings and recurring amnesia—prime Holland to expect a lesson about the location’s folklore.
As students gather behind an old cage, a rigid, blink-sparing young woman arrives, clearly a protégé of the Professor. Holland immediately fears the Professor’s absence.
