Lily speaks with her mother on the phone and reassures her that watching Emerson is no longer a problem because Lily is already at Allysa’s apartment. Lily explains that Emerson had a fever the previous night, then Lily’s mother became ill, forcing Lily to leave work and find a sitter at the last minute. Allysa agreed immediately, even after Lily warned her that Emerson might have been sick recently.
