Princess Donut emerges from the pet biscuit transformation still looking mostly like a cat, but she can now speak. She immediately insists on her full show-cat title and treats Carl as her inferior, while Mordecai realizes Donut is no longer a pet but a full crawler in Carl's party.

Carl checks Donut's stats and finds that her transformation gave her unusually high Strength, Intelligence, and especially Charisma, while leaving Constitution very low. Mordecai explains that Donut has the Enhanced Growth buff: every level will automatically increase Strength, Intelligence, and Charisma, making her powerful but limiting her ability to improve weak stats except through gear, race, or class choices.

Mordecai activates Donut's menus, and Donut opens her loot boxes. She receives basic supplies, a Tome of Magic Missile, pet biscuits, and a Legendary Quadruped box containing the Enchanted Crown of the Sepsis Whore. Donut instantly learns Magic Missile and, before Mordecai can warn her, equips the jeweled crown because it is purple.

Carl reads the crown's properties and discovers it grants Intelligence, improves first impressions, and gives attacks a chance to inflict Sepsis, but it also permanently places Donut in the Blood Sultanate's royal succession on the ninth floor. Mordecai explains that Donut must eventually slay the Sultan and all other royal family members before descending to the tenth floor, and that removing the fleeting crown would only cause another version to appear elsewhere, potentially creating more rivals.

Donut declares that Carl must help her reach the eighteenth level so she can escape and return to her rightful place. Because Donut now has the highest combined stats, she becomes party leader, renames the party The Royal Court of Princess Donut, changes Carl's title to Royal Bodyguard, and names herself Grand Champion Best in Dungeon. Mordecai warns Carl that Donut is currently stronger than him and that staying together is wise, though the ninth floor will be dangerous; Donut then opens the door to leave.
